Shuwa (手話) is Japanese for Sign Language.
Shuwa Gesture Toolkit is a set of tools powered by TensorFlow used to recognize gestures in Sign Language using pose, face, and hand detection models.
We trained the model to understand basic Japanese and Hong Kong Sign Language.

How to Use
- Learn a sign from Japanese Sign Language or Hong Kong Sign Language by picking a video from the menu.
- Record yourself doing one of the signs.
- See the ML model guess what you are signing.
Tips
- Make sure you are in a well lit area.
- Make sure your entire upper torso, face, arms, and hands are visible to the camera.
- Make sure you’re the only one visible on camera.
